The prophet muhammad (saws) said The Jews split into seventy one groups. The Christians split into seventy two groups. This Ummah will split into seventy three groups; all of them will be in the fire except one.; They (the Sahaabah) said,Who are they (that saved group) O Messenger of Allah? He (saw) said, They are the one who are upon the like of what I and my companions are upon.Is this Hadith here not quit clear to anyone that the path of the salaf is the true path?
According to an authentic narration, he said: “My community will be divided into seventy-three sects, and only one among them will attain salvation.” He was asked: “Who are they?” He replied: “Those who follow me and my Companions,” meaning the Sunnis or Ahl al-Sunna wa’l-Jama‘a.
